Sclerotherapy:

Sclerotherapy is a micro-injection method where a concentrated saline solution is infused into the blood vessels with a small needle. As a result of this process, the cells that line the blood vessels are dried out with scar tissue to stop blood from being carried and stop the blood vessels from being visible. The appearance of the vessels will continue to advance for up to one or two months after the treatment.

Most patients will need two to three treatments in the course of two to three months with a goal to have results of about ¾ of improvement. Starting the day of the procedure, it is recommended to walk at least 30 minutes a day for at least a week.

The Candela GentleYAG laser is very successful in treating the veins that are too tiny to be treated by sclerotherapy. Using both the GentleYAG and Sclerotherapy methods to erase those unwanted veins will increase optimal results.

Microdermabrasion is a process that offers skin abrasion without the need for surgery. Microdermabrasion uses micro-crystals of a high medical grade, which are pushed at a high speed across the skin’s surface to chafe the skin’s tissue. By increasing blood flow to the surface of the skin, oxygenation is increased, which causes an enhancement of cell renewal and collagen growth.

Microdermabrasion treatment is specifically for fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, aging, injured, dry and/or oily skin, acne (blocked pores and blemishes) and scars. Seven 30-minute treatments are usually required for best results.

Restylane:

RESTYLANE is an environmental gel based on a natural substance called hyaluronic acid. RESTYLANE is specifically for mid-to-deep dermal implantation for the improvement of sensible to harsh facial wrinkles and folds. A fine needle is used to infuse the gel into the skin in tiny amounts. Because the result is immediate, it creates an ongoing, natural enrichment to the skin. Normal side effects after the injection are tender redness and/ or swelling which disappear in about a week. RESTYLANE is long-lasting, but not permanent, and always leaves the option of continuing or changing further treatments when it wears off. Follow-ups can be performed at any time. Because RESTYLANE is a non-animal product, there is no risk of obtaining allergic reactions from general foods like beef, chicken and eggs.

Radiance:

Radiance, like RESTYLANE, is considered an aesthetic filler. Radiance is recommended for procedures such as lip augmentation and facial contouring that lasts for two to five years. Radiance consists of calcium hydroxyapatate microspheres in a gel carrier and because Radiance is the same mineral component as bone and teeth, skin testing is not require. The use of Radiance is for those who are confident of the look they desire. For those who aren’t as certain, Restylane is recommended because of its temporary results. Also, the procedure takes about 15 minutes and you can look your best in about 24 to 36 hours!

BOTOX® Cosmetic - BOTOX® Cosmetic is a sanitized protein, administered in a simple, non-surgical procedure. It helps improve the appearance of some facial wrinkles and is effective in stopping auxiliary hyperhidrosis (armpit sweating). Chemical peels are acidic solutions applied to smooth the surface of the facial skin, improve skin color and tone, moderate wrinkles and contract blood vessels and pore size. Peel solutions normally include one of the subsequent exfoliating agents, in order of effectiveness: alpha hydroxyl acid (glycolic acid), beta hydroxyl acid (salicylic acid), tricholoracetic acid (TCA) or a phenol. The effects can be as strong as those of some lasers.

Alpha Hydroxy Peels (AHA)

Alpha hydroxy peels do not posses the same concentration levels as those available to plastic surgeons. The peel works by drying up some of the top layers of skin and by letting it peel over a period of several days. The result is a new layer of pure skin that has a smoother texture and more even color. It can be very superficial in depth causing the skin to become flaky for one to two days and if deeper, it can take up to seven to eight days to cure. AHA peels are recommended to those who do not want much down time. Also, because AHA peels temporarily lighten the skin, it is recommended for darker skin patients.

Beta Hydroxy Peels (BHA)

Obagi Blue Peel

The Obagi Blue Peel is more aggressive than either the Alpha Hydroxy or the Beta Hydroxy Peels. Layers of dead skin cells are replaced by healthier ones allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to resurface and create a more youthful appearance. The Obagi Blue Peel is for anyone with wrinkles, pigmentation problems, sun damage, poor skin quality, blemish-prone skin or aging skin. The Obagi Blue Peel uses tricholoracetic acid (TCA) solution applied to the skin to get rid of dead skin cells to produce new skin cells. Since TCA is not absorbed through the skin, there are no internal toxic effects. Doctors are enabled to control the peeling process and its profundity for all skin colors and thickness because of the slowness of the Obagi Blue Peel.
